Forms, Day 1

It's looking more and more like a new basement everyday. 

Rain is coming, footers are ready

I was nervous that all the soil from digging the basement would be an issue - with rain expected this weekend - but as we checked on the house today the workers have been out there and tarped the soil.  So glad they are on top of it!

Pouring the Foundation - Step 1

It's Friday, and we've been at this one week and things are progressing well.  The only hiccup so far has been 2 old tanks were found in the ground during digging.  So we had to have them removed.  Below are the pictures of the morning work on preparring the ground for the footers.

Demo Day 2

Not much more to show, just a complete removal of the garage and the back of the house. 

D-Day at Cotonwood

The LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY 2011.  This was an exciting day for me, as the demo-crew arrived at the house and started work.  I never thought I would see this day.  Below are some pictures I took at the end of the work day.  The site is messy due to rain and mud, but needless to say I am happy to see anything.
